Meggs Returns To Studio
Sun, Jun. 15 2008
Industry sources today confirmed that Brook Meggs has made significant progress on the follow-up to 2004's controversial "Insecurity" CD. Basic tracks were recorded at Wellspring Sound in Acton MA and Sonalysts Studio in Waterford CT. Additional recording and mixing is underway at SameSpace Studio in Sudbury MA.

Meggs will once again be supported by members of The Noyes Band, with whom he toured in late 2005 to promote "Insecurity." In addition to returning players Michael Mendelsohn (vocals, bass), Karen Rusk (bass), Mike Levesque (drums), Jennifer Keaney (vocals, percussion), and Robert Walp (trumpet), the new record is expected to feature a guest appearance by blues slinger Terry Lee Poole on guitar and vocals.

And for the first time, Meggs will play all the intruments himself on several tracks.

The CD is scheduled for release in late 2008, with a series of live dates to follow in spring of 2009. Individual tracks will be available online in advance of the CD release.
